PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE Dear Members, Let me begin with a very big sigh of relief. Don Fahnline has stepped forward to serve as our President beginning June 1. Whew! And it has only been a few years since he had served in that same post. His gracious willingness to repeat solves a major problem, and leaves us with one slightly smaller. We still need someone to support him this coming year as President-elect, then assume the Presidency in June of 2011. Don deserves our warmest thanks, and he also deserves to have that backup assistance. We hope it is forthcoming, soon. As you know, Peggy Campbell, Carolyn Jensen, and Treasurer Ted Wrigglesworth had already agreed to continue in their leadership roles. (Bless them!) And there's more good news. We have managed to hold the line on expenses, so our dues will not increase next year. One major contributor to that welcome surprise is that more of you have been supporting our Buffets. Each person through the line directly reduces our ballroom rental fee that evening, and, if enough participate, it can even eliminate that fee. Included in this newsletter is the Application to renew your membership, and the tempting menu and Reservation Form for the last dance of this year. That leaves you with just a few assignments: By all means reenlist for another year, continue to support the Buffets, join us for dinner and the dance a week from Sunday, and each of you wear a hat to the dance so you can tip it when you see Don.
